Dorel Herinean is a lawyer in the Bucharest Bar, within his own form of exercise (Herinean Dorel – Criminal Defence) and activates exclusively in the field of criminal law, especially in the field of economic crime.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the Babeș-Bolyai University, having a special interest in the academic side of his activities, he is currently a PhD assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, in the discipline of Criminal Law. General Part.

During the years 2020 and 2021 he received the prize of the "Dreptul" Magazine for scientific publications in the field of law, being at the same time the co-author of a reference monograph on the topic of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Explanations(2021), of a paper in English on the same subject: European Public Prosecutor's Office(2022), of a seminar booklet on criminal law – General part (2022) and of a collection of jurisprudence of the supreme court in the unification of judicial practice in criminal matters (2022). His activity is complemented by the capacity of editorial secretary of the magazines AUBD – Legal Forum and Relevant Penalmente, being involved in other international projects, and from 2021 he was elected as a Eurojust expert on criminal law and international judicial cooperation within the Euromed Justice Programme.
