
Andra-Roxana Trandafir is a lawyer at the Bucharest Bar since January 2009. She first worked in the law firm STOICA&Asociații, and later she managed criminal law files for one of the largest banks in Romania. Since January 2021 he has established his own law firm. He is entitled to practice before all courts.
Andra specializes in criminal law and has mainly handled cases related to economic crimes and in which issues of precautionary measures and criminal liability of the legal entity were raised. The knowledge gained in the field of civil law allowed her to have an interdisciplinary approach in criminal law litigation, as well as to initiate proceedings that led to the rendering of binding decisions, such as Decision No. 2/2018 rendered by the High Court of Cassation and Justice - the panel competent to hear appeals in the interest of the law, which established that the existence of a precautionary measure in criminal proceedings does not suspend or prevent foreclosure initiated by a secured creditor whose mortgage right was enforceable prior to that measure. Andra also lodged several complaints with the ECHR.
In the years 2022 and 2024, he participated as an expert in two ICSID arbitrations raising issues of criminal law and criminal procedure.
In parallel with her work as a lawyer, Andra carries out a rich academic and research activity at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, being, since 2008, external collaborator, assistant, lecturer and currently university lecturer. He is a lecturer in the subjects Criminal Liability of Legal Entities (Master's program in Criminal Sciences) and Criminology and a seminar lecturer in the subjects Criminal Law. Since 2016 she has been the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, in 2020-2023 she was a member of the Senate of the University of Bucharest, and since 2022 she was elected to the Council of the Faculty of Law.
